First project - 1960 Baldwin Studio piano
This piano's original home was at the Portland State University. It needed lots of reconditioning after many years in the University Music department and I enjoyed doing the action work, restringing where needed and replacing chipped key tops. The case had seen better days and I'd like to refinish it sometime in the future but what caught my attention about this piano was the rich, wonderful tone it held after more than 40 years at the school.

It is taking time and TLC to restore this piano to working condition and I hope to complete the project by summer 2008. I'm in the midst of replacing the hammers and will restring it next; with no deadline on this project I'm enjoying working on it as time allows.

1911 Gerhard Heintzman upright
Once I complete work on the Fischer,
I plan to rebuild this Piano.
The plate and the soundboard are in
great condition which will make it an excellent
restringing project. New keytops are a priority
and I look forward to beginning restoration work on it.
